Purchases

1. Individual Purchases – Online

If units, individual batteries, or parts with serial numbers are purchased online or through a custom order, the applicable information will automatically be entered and activated in our system once the items are shipped from our warehouse.

2. Individual Purchases from Authorized Resellers

a. Customer Pickup

If units, individual batteries, or parts with serial numbers are purchased from an authorized reseller and picked up by the customer, the purchaser must be registered in our system at www.miadynamics.com. The authorized reseller must manually enter the applicable information through Dealers – Register a Serial Number.

b. Drop-Shipped Purchases

If items are drop-shipped directly to the purchaser, the authorized reseller must ensure that the purchaser is registered with Mia Dynamics. Once the items are shipped, the applicable information will automatically be entered into our system.

3. Requirements for Proper Service

Customers must remain subscribed to receive the latest information regarding their products, purchases, and service.

Customers must authorize Mia Dynamics to monitor usage-history data for units, individual batteries, and parts with serial numbers. Disabling usage-history data may limit Mia Dynamics' ability to evaluate warranty claims based on actual usage data.

Customer Options

The customer's next steps will depend on the warranty status:

  • If the warranty expiration date has passed, the customer will be notified that the unit or part is no longer covered under warranty. The system may indicate this status by displaying the SKU number or warranty expiration date in red.
  • If the warranty is still valid, the customer may click on the chassis serial number for a unit, or the part serial number for an individual part, to open a service ticket through Support – Warranty Form.
  • The customer must follow the instructions provided to submit the service ticket. Once the ticket has been submitted, a service representative will contact the customer to assist with resolving the issue.
  • To check the status of open or closed service tickets, the customer may visit Support – Warranty Form.

8. Customer Ordering Parts While Under Warranty

  • It is the customer's responsibility to order and receive the required replacement part. The customer may install the part using our video tutorials, take the unit to a service center of their choice at their own expense, or arrange a video call with one of our in-house service representatives for assistance with replacing the part.
  • The customer is responsible for returning the defective part to Mia Dynamics when requested.
  • If a customer purchases or uses parts owned or supplied by an independent service center, those parts are considered to have been purchased directly from that service center and will not be replaced or reimbursed by Mia Dynamics.
  • Once it has been determined that a replacement part is required, the customer will order the part and have it shipped using our preferred ground-shipping method.
  • Upon receipt of the replacement part, the customer may select one of the replacement options described in Section 9.
  • If instructed to return the defective part, the customer must return it to Mia Dynamics within 30 days from the date the replacement part was shipped, following the provided return instructions.
  • Once the defective part is received by Mia Dynamics along with a copy of the original invoice, the customer will be refunded the applicable invoice amount.
  • If the customer selects a shipping method other than our preferred ground-shipping method, reimbursement will apply only to the replacement part and will not include additional shipping costs.
  • The cost of shipping the defective part from the customer to Mia Dynamics is entirely the customer's responsibility and will not be reimbursed.
  • The defective part must be received by Mia Dynamics no later than 30 days from the date the replacement part was shipped. If the defective part is not received within this period, no credit will be issued for the replacement part or shipping costs.
  • If Mia Dynamics determines that the defective part does not need to be returned, a customer service representative will arrange shipment of the replacement part at no additional charge using our preferred ground-shipping method. If the customer requests a different shipping method, the customer will be responsible for the additional shipping charges.

9. Replacing a Part Under Warranty

The customer has two options for replacing a part under warranty.

If accessories or other items interfere with access to the part being repaired or replaced, the customer is responsible for removing and reinstalling those items at their own expense.

a. Do It Yourself

Because our system is designed to be plug-and-play, customers who are comfortable using basic tools such as a screwdriver and wrench may replace the part themselves by following the applicable parts-replacement tutorials available with the item's online inventory listing.

b. Schedule a Video Call

The customer may arrange a video call with one of our online service representatives for guidance on replacing the part.

To schedule a Zoom video call, the customer must email info@miadynamics.com.

This service is available for a fee of $25 for a video call of up to 30 minutes. After the request is submitted, the service team will contact the customer to schedule an appointment.

10. Replacing a Part Not Under Warranty

Customers may order replacement parts from our online store and have them shipped to a location of their choice or purchase them from an authorized reseller.

The customer has three options for replacing the part:

a. Service Center

The customer may take the unit or part to a service center of their choice. All service-center labor and related charges are the customer's responsibility.

b. Do It Yourself

Because our system is designed to be plug-and-play, customers who are comfortable using basic tools such as a screwdriver and wrench may replace the part themselves by following the applicable parts-replacement tutorials available with the item's online inventory listing.

c. Schedule a Video Call

The customer may arrange a video call with one of our in-house service representatives for guidance on replacing the part.

This service is available for a fee of $25 for a video call of up to 30 minutes.

  2. Shipping costs associated with returning defective items to Mia Dynamics are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise specified in writing.
  3. Customers may choose from the available replacement options, including using a service center, performing the repair themselves, or scheduling a video call for assistance.

Top Speed

Although the unit is capable of speeds exceeding 25 mph, units subject to the applicable speed limitation are limited to 15.5 mph.

If a customer modifies, unlocks, or otherwise alters the unit to exceed the applicable 15.5 mph speed limit, whether with or without permission from Mia Dynamics, the customer assumes full responsibility and liability for operating the unit at the modified speed, including any associated legal costs or claims.

Any such modification will void the applicable warranty.
